TECNOBUS has made the most of the large and long-dating direct experience acquired in the daily Full Service Activities carried out with a large number of public transit companies.
Apart from the concrete credentials as bus manufacturer, TECNOBUS also has the privilege to be the direct operator of the largest hybrid and electric bus fleets in Europe. In fact, our specialized technicians take care of all the maintenance activities - directly at the client’s premises – of much relevant companies . This is the case for the 52 electric GULLIVER fleet of ATAC – Rome – (which can guarantee an annual coverage of over one million and a half kilometres , as requested by ATAC itself ), ANM – Naples – with a fleet totally amounting to 32 units between hybrid and electric buses and ATAF – Florence – with 26 electric GULLIVER buses.
It is also important to mention that although a lot of the above described vehicles have been in service for more than 13/14 years, their efficiency has remained perfectly unaltered, which confirms the already well-tested total reliability qualities of our product.
As part of the above-described Full Service activities , TECNOBUS is obliged to assure extremely high bus duty cycles and, in some cases, can reach excellent performances with a 99,8 availability percentage of the total bus fleet .
 Our servicing activities are carried out throughout Europe with the utmost rapidity and efficiency . Our technical staff is ready to move, in the space of 24 hours, wherever assistance may be required.
Components and spare parts are all available at TECNOBUS central stock. In a matter of only 48 hours after a demand is forwarded, the material required can be dispatched with the utmost urgency both in Italy and in the rest of Europe.
 This is one of the most appreciated initiative carried out by our company. Such ad hoc service, expressly set up and intended for transit companies, is carried out by TECNOBUS specialized staff directly at the customer’s operational premises. Working hours are brought out continuously all 7 days of the week in order to guarantee daily bus services.
Such activities include:
- Management of recharging installations.
- Management of batteries, for which a three-year duration is guaranteed.
- Vehicles service in case of operation failures.
- Scheduled maintenance as per specifications described in our technical manuals.
- Vehicles transfers from bus depots to head of line and vice versa.
Tecnobus Full Service contracts are as listed below:
TECNOBUS - can realize, upon demand, systems for recharging batteries. The installation is generally carried out in a plastic way and adapted to the width and to the geometrical dimensions of the premises.
It generally consist of:
a system for the intake of gases that is proposed and produced according to C.E.S.I. regulations and the directives in force and an electric part consisting of an electric switchboard, derivation boxes, electric canalisation and tetrapolar socket points. All this is completed by rectifiers for recharge.

Electric or hybrid buses characteristics are different from those of conventional buses. For this reason TECNOBUS organizes training courses on different levels for its customers: |
- Training on electric traction and functioning logics.
- Knowledge of the vehicle and notions on driving.
- Use of batteries and repair techniques.
- Courses for electronic and mechanic service personnel.
The duration of the courses generally goes from a minimum of 2 days to a maximum of 30 days with practical tests of diagnosis of damages and repair procedures.
